Backyard fun doesn’t have to stop in the summertime. There are plenty of ways to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air all year round. From snow days to camping trips, there is something for everyone.

Snow Days:

Snow days can be some of the most memorable and thrilling times. Building a snowman or having a snowball fight can bring hours of entertainment. If you want more excitement, try sledding down a hill or constructing an igloo with friends and family. Make sure you have enough extra clothing and supplies on hand like hot chocolate, snacks, hats, mittens and maybe even a thermos for your hot drinks. Winter is also a great time for making snow angels, or if you’re looking for adventure try skiing or snowboarding at your local ski resort. Dress warmly in layers and make sure to wear waterproof boots to ensure you stay warm and dry throughout the day!

Camping Trips:

For those looking for a true outdoor adventure, camping trips are the perfect way to get back in touch with nature. Whether it’s staying in tent sites or renting an RV, camping will provide hours of entertainment while exploring nature paths and going fishing in nearby lakes. Don’t forget to bring along essential items such as flashlights, firewood (for campfires), matches/lighters (for cooking), insect repellent, sunscreen, etc., so that you can enjoy your excursion worry-free!

Yard Games & Activities:

If you don’t feel like leaving your own backyard but still want some outdoor activity, there are plenty of yard games and activities that will keep everyone entertained! Some classic games include horseshoes, badminton, volleyball or frisbee golf – all which could easily be set up in your own backyard without much preparation or expensive equipment costs. Or if these don’t suit your fancy why not set up an obstacle course using things from around the yard such as hula hoops or water buckets? This will definitely get everyone’s creative juices flowing!

Gardening/Planting:

Gardening is one great activity that is easy on the wallet yet provides hours of satisfaction when seeing its results. Planting flowers adds color and beauty around any home while also providing a great space for relaxation after a long week at work. Creating a garden can also be quite educational; teach children how plants grow from seed to seedling with lots of hands-on activities like planting vegetables or herbs together as well as learning about soil care and nutrient needs of plants . With just some basic gardening tools like gloves , shovels , rakes , trowels , wheelbarrows , etc., you’ll have everything needed for creating beautiful landscaping designs in no time!
